Picture

Project Objective:

This project is an introduction to the Periodic Table of Elements.  Our goal is to understand the atomic structure of the element you chose, identify properties of that element, and for you to help us understand what that element looks like in the 'real world'.

Your focus is on the atomic structure, which includes the protons & neutrons in the nucleus, as well as the electrons.
Depending on how many electrons your element has, determines how many electron shells you will need to include.  Please be as neat as possible :).
Atomic structure piece should include the following parts:
name of your element, labeled protons, neutrons, electrons, and correct number of electron shells.

"WHAT DOES YOUR ELEMENT LOOK LIKE IN THE REAL WORLD?"
Step three will include ALL of your researched information, LOTS (5-10) of pictures
and/or short videos that provide your audience an understanding of real world uses.
All of your researched information should be included in part three as well.
These will be shared on Seesaw, and posted on our 5th grade website.
