The fiction book The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days by Michele Weber Hurwitz is a great inspirational read, about a girl who anonymously does one small, but good thing in the last 65 days of summer. Thirteen year-old Nina Ross started off feeling lost within her emotions, but she later learns that even though things may not turn out to be what you wanted, it might be even better. The problem is that Nina feels like she can’t do anything important, or stand up and make a difference, she also has to struggle with the relationships of her family and friends. This motivational novel has even inspired me to be more kind to others, and it made me think more deeply about how we treat each other. It has a wonderful mix of mystery, romance, humor, and most important of all, kindness. -Serena

The Summer I Saved the World in 65 Days
is written by Michele Weber Hurwitz. It is about a little girl who wants to make a difference in the world, but she doesn't want anyone knowing it's her who is making the difference. The main character is Nina Ross who is shy, but then finds a voice. The main problem in the story is that that there is this mysterious home and stuff are happening in it. This story wanted me to keep reading, it was so exciting. There was action such as people trying to find out what's going on in a home, and funny. It was just a great story! -Valentina
