Mr. Granite Is From Another Planet by Dan Gutman is a Realistic Fiction book about a boy named AJ and his friends. Andrea starts to think that their new teacher is an alien! Why would she think that? AJ is a 3rd grader from Ella Mentry School, who hates school. He also hates Andrea. The problem is, Mr. Granite is an alien! But, all he needs to do is get home on a spaceship powered by potatoes. How hard could that possibly be? This book was awesome. I liked the twist where they found out that he was an alien. I literally didn’t put it down until I was done. -Brandon K
