![]() The mythological book Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan is about the exciting individual stories of the greatest, most famous heroes ever in Ancient Greek history. There is no main character over all, just the main character in each of the twelve chapters. Still the same, there is no main problem, just the many, many exhilarating fights, and conflicts in each of the heroes stories. My opinion of this book, the companion of Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods, is the best! I love the sarcasm and humor the young demigod narrator has in his speech. The author is the best at describing the thoughts, feelings, environment, and action of every scene. Every chapter has the action of defeating monsters, comedy with the hilarious statements, and drama of heartbreak and yearning that I love! I also love how every chapter takes me to a whole new setting, the lush forests, or the winding thorny bushes, with the golden halls of a palace, or the grimy, dirty walls of a dungeon. Whether you have no knowledge of greek heroes, or you’re an expert, this book has got you covered! -Serena

![]() The fiction book Pip Bartlett’s Guide to Magical Creatures by Jackson Pearce and Maggie Stiefvater is about an 11 year old girl named Pip Bartlett who loves magical creatures. Over one summer Pip visits her aunt who owns a magical creature hospital. One day when she was there she was attacked by fiery fuzzles the set on fire when they are scared. Will Pip be able to escape the fuzzles fiery grip? I like this book because it kept me interested me all the way through and made me want to keep reading because I love magical creatures and it is a story of friendship. Also it had a lot of humor the way Pip was allergic to just about everything. -Jonah ![]() Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K Rowling is a fiction book about an 11 year old boy named Harry Potter whose parents died to a very evil wizard Voldemort and then he had to move to his evil muggle aunt and uncle. On Harry’s 11 birthday he realizes that he is a wizard and he gets to go Hogwarts school for wizard and Witch craft. I think the setting was very cool because there are a lot of magical objects on the school campus. Also Harry Potter's scar was very cool. -Jonah The book/movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling is a fiction book about a boy who learns about a whole new world out that he has never heard of. The main character, Harry Potter, is an eleven year old boy who suffers through living with his terrible aunt, uncle, and cousin because his parents died. The main problem in this story is that Voldemort (a dark wizard) is trying to steal a stone called the sorcerer’s stone which gives you everlasting life. One interesting setting is that it is in a wizard school called Hogwarts and Hogwarts is full of magic and there are classes like transfiguration and potions instead of math and reading. This story had action because Harry, and his friends Ron and Hermione, fight a three-headed dog, play this human wizarding chest that people can get hurt in, and fight trolls. I love the Harry Potter series and I hope that these reviews will make more people want to read these magical books. -Jennifer Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is a fantasy themed book about a boy who has to go to a wizarding world. This book is written by a fantastic author named J.K Rowling. The main character is Harry Potter, a boy who is brave, kind, and heroic in every way. The main problem is an evil wizard named Voldemort is trying to get a special stone for him to gain more power, and Harry Potter has to try and stop him. This book made my keep on reading because their were so many twists and turns Also, the conflicts the characters face are no ordinary problems, but they include magic and suspense. -Faith I read the fictional book Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling, about a boy who learns he is a wizard and his life takes a turn for the better. The main character of this story is Harry James Potter and he lives with his stubborn mean and rude aunt and uncle. Harry is a small 11 year old boy who feels like the last unloved puppy in the box for sale until he goes to hogwarts and learns he is a wizard and that an evil wizard called Voldemort (You Know Who) wants to kill him and tried to kill him as a baby. The main problem in this story is that the evil wizard who killed his parents still wants to kill him. I loved this story because it has so many twists and turns in the plot and it has so much action. I will admit the opening is a bit weird but other then that it made me want to keep reading I would always beg for another chapter. So after all that I would recommend this book to a friend who likes magic and action. -Haile R. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is by JK Rowling is a fiction book. In this book Crookedstar the main character goes through the life of a kit and even becomes the leader of RiverClan. The main problem is, that Crookedstar made a promise to mapleshade, a dark forest warrior. And this promise stated that Crookedstar had to be loyal to his clan more than anything else. I liked this book because it’s plot was very interesting. I like this book and recommend it to all my friends. -Michael ![]() Warriors: Omen of The Stars - The Forgotten Warrior is a fictional book by Erin Hunter. The Main characters are Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing who are special cats with powers. Jayfeather can dream his way into other cats’ minds. Lionblaze can not be defeated in battle. And Dovewing can hear things from miles away. The main problem is that Tigerstar, the evil former leader of shadowclan made the dark forest. And now is recruiting clan cats to help him destroy the clans. But he is promising the clan cats that all he is going to do is to train them to their best. I liked this book because it had a lot of plot twists. I also could not put this book down. Out of this series this is my 2nd favorite book. -Michael ![]() Warriors: Omen of the Stars #6: The Last Hope is a fictional book by Erin Hunter about the clans in the lake facing the treacherous Dark Forest cats, who will stop at nothing to kill the clans forever. Thunderclan’s Jayfeather, Lionblaze, Dovewing have the power of the stars, or so the prophecy says, to save the clans for darkness. I really liked this book because it kept my interest and I could not put the book down. Erin Hunter used very descriptive words to describe the story and setting, and personality of each cat. -Michael ![]() The fiction book The Witches by Roald Dahl is about a small boy who encounters the grand committee of witches, then he and his grandmother have to find a way to stop them from getting rid of all the children of England! There are two main characters in this story, one is a little boy whose name is unknown, so I shall make him go by “The boy.” “The boy” is the narrator of this story, he is very determined and courageous when he puts his mind to his goals ahead. He is very smart in these plans that he has with his grandmother, and he can also find the positive side to everything. “The boy” loves his grandmother tremendously, and could never have thought to live without her. He was even closer to her than his own mother, before the car accident happened that killed his parents. The other main character is the grandmother, whom “The boy” calls “Grandmamma”. “Grandmamma” was confronted by a witch once in her life, and it was not a good experience, with a lost thumb for a souvenir. She is very protective of her grandson, and loves him just as dearly as he loves her. “Grandmamma” also has her saying, ‘Heaven may take my soul, but Norway shall keep my bones.’ Therefore saying that she loves her homeland very much. The main problem is that The Grand High Witch (the leader of all the witches) has formulated a potion that can get rid of all the children in the world by turning them into mice! “The boy” and his grandmamma have to stop them before children of the human population have vanished from the face of the earth! My opinion is that this is another one of the beloved books by Roald Dahl. I still remember when my first grade teacher first read this to me, I was hypnotised by the action in the spells, the love for family, and the wonderful yearning of adventure that all the characters felt! I also like how the author explains in so much detail of all the settings we are being introduced to. Such as the crowded, superior dining room, the filthy, grimy kitchen, and the colored dragon shades. I love how the book just pulls you in, never letting go, until you finish the very last word. -Serena ![]() The fiction book Dinosaur Boy by Cory Putman Oakes is about a boy who inherited the stegosaurus gene from his grandfather and his difficulties and discoveries because he is part dinosaur. The dinosaur boy, Sawyer, is in the 5th grade along with his best friend, Elliot, and soon becomes friends with Sylve who was revealed to be part martian. The three friends uncovered a plot by their principal to ship off earth kids to other planets to be used as pets, and attempted to rescue their friends. I enjoyed this book because I found this book as a funny, humorous, and light read. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a book with humour, and quirky features. -Isabella D. ![]() The mythological fiction novel The Trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan is about the once wonderful god Apollo who became a mortal, and undergoes emotional changes throughout his journey to save the world. The main character is Apollo, who is the son of Zeus and Leto, and twin brother to the goddess Artemis. Apollo was once the god of prophecy, music, medicine, healing, plague, the sun, truth, archery (but not hunting), poetry, and much more! Being a god, he can appear any way he liked, but usually is seen as a well tanned, muscular youth, with long golden hair, and a bow slung across his back. Apollo is a very big bragger, and likes to claim credit for a lot of things he didn’t do. He is a very flashy guy, being the sun god after all, he likes to flirt with the ladies and play the cool dude. Then, when stripped of his powers he became the human, Lester Papadopoulos, a scrawny 16 year-old with curly brown hair, blue eyes, and a bad case of acne. When Apollo’s leverage of authority was taken away, he lost his godly knowledge too. Along went his confidence at first, but later he turned out to be a leader in a mortal’s state of mind. These circumstances have made Apollo more generous, humble and caring- something that never would have occurred to him if not for this experience. The main problem is that the once dead Emperor Nero or the “Beast” has come back alive as a ghost god, fueled by the fear that mortals have in him. Nero has slowly recruited runaways, orphans and other children to do his bidding, all through the war with Gaea and even before! Now his plan is finally coming together, with all four oracles of Delphi shut down and hidden from the world, no one can see the future. Apollo has to re-open the oracles of Delphi, find Nero and kill his life force, restore peace to the world, all but being a puny ex-god with amnesia. My opinion is that this is one of the best Rick Riordan (he is an amazing author) books I have ever read! I love the action that Apollo has to go through to conquer the Beast. I also love the affection that Apollo feels toward his mistress/ruler, Meg, at the end of the story when they part. The humor is always there, really to jump out and surprise you, like a cat going to pounce on its prey. I was also taken away by the twist near the end, that changed the way I looked at some of the characters. That sudden trip in the plot made me feel sad, surprised, but most of all sympathy, for Meg, and for Apollo, for what they had to suffer. This novel is sure to make you have tears of sadness, scream with joy, and bellow with laughter! Ha ha ha!!! -Serena ![]() Warriors : Into The Wild is a fictional story by Erin Hunter. The main character, Rusty, later Firepaw, and then Fireheart, is a red tomcat that goes into the forest and learns the ways of the clans. The main problem is that Tigerclaw, a cat in thunderclan, killed the thunderclan deputy and is claiming that the deputy died in a battle. I liked this book because it’s plot changed a lot, and it kept my interest. I have read this book 5 times now, and the series twice. I loved this book. -Michael ![]() The book Artemis Fowl by Eion Colfer was a really good fantasy book about a 12 year old genius going against a fairy police force trying to get back something Artemis stole from them. The book focuses on Artemis Fowl mainly because he always comes up with the schemes and plans in the book, and because wherever he goes, action takes place near him. But that also can be a bad thing because the action that always takes place near him always involves the fairies trying to get him. In the end, I liked the book because it was very unexpected what Artemis might do to stop the fairies, and I also liked the story because it made me feel good about being smart. -Beck ![]() Percy Jackson and The Sea of Monsters is by Rick Riordan, and it is a fiction book. The main character is Percy Jackson, who is young, strong, and brave. I like this book because it has a lot of action and it is funny. -Brandon C. ![]() The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan is a fiction book about Greek Mythology. Percy Jackson is an ADHD dyslexic kid who's gotten expelled from every school he’s ever attended. The problem is that Zeus’s master bolt is gone and he suspects Percy. The setting was interesting of how Mount Olympus is of top if the Empire State Building and Camp Half-Blood is hidden in plain sight. It was also unexpected in the plot when Luke turns out to be evil and he tried to kill Percy. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes mythology. -Merium Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief is by Rick Riordan. It is a fiction book. The main character is a boy named Perseus “Percy” Jackson who is a young, brave, but troubled kid. Percy is sad that his mom is now dead, but when he gets to camp half blood he gets told that the god Hades, the god of death, has took her before she died. Later they find out that Percy is the son of the sea god, Poseidon. The main problem is that Zeus’s master bolt has been stolen Percy and his friends have to find it. I like this book because it is funny and the plot twist how Luke, Percy’s best friend betrayed him. -Brandon C. ![]() The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani is a fantasy book about fairy tales. Sophie and Agatha are two best friends who grew up reading fairy tales and couldn’t be more different. The main problem in this story is that Agatha and Sophie need to find their way home after being whisked away to a fairy tale school. The setting was interesting because of how the there was a big woods surrounding the town and the school. It was also unexpected in the plot when Sophie goes to Evil and Agatha goes to Good. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs something to read. -Merium ![]() I read the fictional book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. It is about a boy “Harry” who is learning to live with the fact that only one can live while the other survives. The main character Harry is not living with his aunt and uncle but he is now a wanted man and is on the run.The main plot is that Voldemort has only one chance to kill Harry and Harry only one chance at Voldemort. My opinion of this book is that it is a wonderful book filled with action and the plot makes me want to gobble it up. But I would strongly recommend that one read the first 6 books first.-Haile The book/movie Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows written by J.K. Rowling is a fiction book about a boy and two of his friends who are on a quest to find and destroy horcruxes and battle the most dangerous wizard in the whole world. The main character, Harry Potter, is a seventeen year old boy who lived after a dangerous wizard (Voldemort) killed his parents and tried to kill him, but his mom's protection was too powerful. The main problem in this story is that Harry has to kill Voldemort and in order to do that, he has to find and destroy all of the horcruxes. Harry and his friends, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, go through a lot of dangerous journeys in order to find all of them. This story had a lot of action because it showed a lot of fighting and killing at the end. It also shows snakes and scary animals in this book/movie. This story made me feel lucky that I did not have to go through all of this, but I also felt sad that the characters had to go suffer fighting when they are only seventeen. -Jennifer ![]() The science fiction novel Neptune Project by Polly Holyoke is about a teen who soon finds out she is half-fish, as she sets out to live her new life at sea, she meets up with a group of teens just like her, and they explore the ocean waters up close, both the beauty and the danger. The main character is Nere, before she was born, her genes were altered to survive in the ocean, along with many others. These new adaptations allowed her to see in the dark and deep waters of the sea, heal quicker than on land, breathe underwater using her gill filaments, and speak telepathically (since you can’t really talk underwater). Nere is a very caring and loving to all of her beloved. She has proved that, even if there is a deep wound, Nere can always find a way to forgive. When Nere first rose to be the leader, she was nervous and unsure, but later, Nere became confident and secured through the help of her friends. The main problem is the risky and treacherous journey to the safe haven that Nere’s father has prepared for a new underwater colony. Along the way are the ever constant sharks that come darting to the smell of blood, as well as all the other deep sea predators, such as the giant squid, with its razor sharp beak and lashing tentacles, with a thousand suckers on each one, each sucker sharp like a knife. There is also the ever-present worry that they might get captured by the Marine Guards, then sent to a work camp, or a lab, or even a prison ship! The most devastating fact, is that everyone on land wants to take them captive, for the offer of a large amount of money. My opinion is that this is one of the best science fiction books I have ever read! For one, I love the romance! It’s not too deep, but enough to keep you going. There is also the action that I love, when they fight the sharks, explore the caves, and have hand-hand combat lessons. I also love how every single page keeps your eyes stuck to the words. When I read just a few chapters in, I couldn’t stop! It was so good. No matter what you’re looking for, romance, action, science, sadness, joy, this book has got it all! Although I do recommend, that if you want to stop reading when you are into this book, don’t even try to stop at the end of a chapter, each one is like a cliffhanger! -Serena ![]() Dr. Seuss made this awesome fantasy book called Green Eggs and Ham about this guy named Sam I Am. Sam I Am is trying to get this other guy to eat green eggs and ham. The main character is Sam I Am. The main problem is getting the other guy to eat the green eggs and ham. The story had lots of humor. The way Sam I Am kept trying to get other guy to eat the green eggs and ham. The setting was a normal place except without the uncolored trees and things like that. -Regan The book Green Eggs and Ham is by Doctor Suess is fiction. The book is about Sam, who wants to make someone eat green eggs and ham. Sam I Am is the main character. The problem is the grouch won't try green eggs and ham. The story made me want to keep reading because of all the tongue twisters. The setting was very interesting because one second they are in a box than another they are on a train. -Keely ![]() Alien in My Pocket is by Nathan Ball is a fiction book. The main characters are Zack and Amp. Zack is a kid who is getting bad grades on his test. Amp is a blue alien who came from a different galaxy. The main problem is that an alien invasion is going to happen soon. Zack has to get Amp on his plant before the invasion. I like this book because the invasion is actually going to happen in 100,000 days and it was very funny considering the fact of all the craziness to get Amp to his planet before the invasion. -Brandon C ![]() The fiction story A Wonderlandiful World: Ever After High written by Shannon Hale is a wonderful novel of the famous teenage Wonderland characters that are trying to save their school from the sinister Jabberwocky. The main characters are Maddeline Hatter (Maddie), Mad Hatter’s daughter. She is Raven Queen, the Evil Queen’s daughter’s, best friend. Maddie is very bubbly, always happy, and she loves tea. She can hear the Narrator, and has occasional chats with her throughout the book. Lizzie Hearts, the Queen of Hearts daughter. Lizzie has a reputation of a strict, loud, and opposing character, but inside all she wants is to fit in. Lizzie owns a magical wonderland garden, and loves hedgehogs. Then last of all, Cedar Wood, Pinocchio's daughter. Cedar can only tell the truth no matter what, she is very earnest and curious. Cedar loves to paint and make beautiful artwork. The main problem is that the Jabberwocky is trying to take over Ever After High, since it escaped from mirror prison. The three friends have to join together to achieve the Wonderland sword, the only weapon that can kill a Jabberwocky, and slay the monster. My opinion is that this book is a fantastic blend of magic and wonder. I love the setting, which is a high school that teaches the sons and daughters of fairytale characters to embrace and follow their parents footsteps. I also loved the change that happened in the characters. Lizzie changes from a ensure princess to a confident queen! Cedar also found new friends, while expressing herself beyond her words. This novel is a marvelous twist of fantasy and love for your friends! -Serena ![]() The fiction book The Unfairest of Them All: Ever After High by Shannon Hale is the story of two teenage girls that are trying to save their friend from getting banished. The main characters are Raven Queen, the Evil Queen’s daughter. Raven is very sweet and determined, but everybody is scared of her because of her mom. She does not believe in her school's purpose (To teach the students to follow their parents footsteps). Raven thinks that we should have the choice whether or not we want to follow your parents footsteps or to create your own, to have freedom. Raven loves to sing, and is the leader of the Rebels (want to break free from story). Then there is Apple White, daughter of Snow White. Apple is always flattered by boys, and is always there to help. Apple is the leader of the Royals ( want to continue their story). Apple believes in destiny, she wants to follow her story no matter which way it turns. Apple is the school’s co-president along with Madeline (Maddie) Hatter, Apple loves apples, and all the good animals love her. The main problem is that Maddie was accidentally blamed for the escaped Jabberwocky, a wonderland monster. Now Raven and Apple have to save her from getting banished to Neverland. By doing this, they have to confront the Evil Queen (Raven’s mother), then they will have to solve many riddles to do a spell that will reveal the truth about what happened. My opinion is that this is a terrific spellbinding tale that makes me think throughout the riddles and laugh at the jokes. I love how the plot suddenly changes, with the Evil Queen betraying her own daughter, Apple changing her mind, and Maddie with her ever-present smile popping back again. This story made me feel great when I read it, since it had many of the humorous chats that Maddie has with the Narrator, I always finish laughing! I also love how I can participate a little with the magical riddles, silently cheering the answers on! -Serena ![]() The fiction tale The Wide-Awake Princess by E.D. Baker is a story of Princess Gwendolyn, the destined Sleeping Beauty’s sister, Princess Annie, searching far and low for princes to awaken her. The two main characters are Princess Annie, she is very adventurous and daring, knows how to take care of herself, and loves her family. Annie was born unlike her sister, Gwennie, who got the gifts of beauty, grace, melody, etc. all the gifts princesses have. Annie’s parents didn’t want her to get the 100-year curse as well, so they asked a fairy to help them. The fairy gave Annie her first and last gift she would get, the spell that no magic, no matter good or bad, could touch her. This means that anything that has magic that is close to her will begin to lose it temporarily, and any magic that is cast upon her will rebound as well. Annie has grown up without any magic to help her, to be a strong princess no one has ever seen. Next, is Annie’s lover Liam, he is extremely caring of Annie, he is very kind and daring as well. Liam has made many impressions on the royal family, he first appeared as a guard for them, but later revealed that he was a prince of a nearby kingdom. Liam is like Annie, in the shadow of his older brother, who got all the gifts. But he is well happy with being close to Annie, because he would give up everything he had just for her. The main problem is that Annie has to find the perfect prince to kiss Gwennie to wake her up, all along an enemy kingdom is advancing on them secretly. My opinion is that this novel has the right amount of romance and humour to it, when Annie and Liam stand up for each other with loving words. Then the funny comments that Liam makes, or the hilarious thoughts that Annie has. I love how the characters are part original, and part new. As in princess Gwendolyn, is Sleeping Beauty, but princess Annie is a whole new twist that adds some amaze to the story! This really shows the girl power that is coming back! -Serena ![]() The book/movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by J.K. Rowling is a fiction book about a wizard who goes to New York and some of his magical animals escape. The main character, Newt Scamander, is an adult who collects and treats magical animals. The main problem in this story is that some of Newt’s beasts get loose and Newt and his three friends have to go find them. The main characters are interesting because Jacob Kowalski, a muggle (a non-magical person), finds out that there are such things as wizards. There is action in this story because in the end of the book, there is a fight between a monster, aurors (wizards who capture bad guys), and Newt and his friends. I love all of the books made by J.K. Rowling and if you love magic, than I would suggest you read this book or any book from the Harry Potter series! -Jennifer ![]() Tuck Everlasting is by Natalie Babbitt is a fiction book. The problem is that there is a mysterious man following the Tucks, trying to find out their secret. I loved this book, because it had a lot of twists, like when we saw the Tucks were immortal, and I wanted to know why the man in the yellow suit was there. I just wanted to read the whole thing in one day. -Brandon K Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is an exhilarating fiction story. Tuck Everlasting is about a unique girl Winnie who founds out about a blessing/curse that could change the world. She is shocked, but trust is the big story for her in this book. Winnie is a 10 year old girl who wants to be free. Also, she is very adventurous. The main problem is that the Tuck family has to keep there secret that they're immortal. Tuck Everlasting always made me want to keep reading, it always kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters in Tuck Everlasting always kept calm during a conflict and each character had a unique backstory. This story had mystery, action, and violence it did because the character were fighting bad guys, avoiding society, and were traveling constantly around town doing mischief. The setting was very interesting because it gave me a good understanding of the old days. In addition, this story made me appreciate having a healthy, happy, amazing family and that I should be glad for everything in life. -Jared Tuck Everlasting is a fiction book written by Natalie Babbitt. This story is about a young girl named Winnie who meets a immortal family named the Tucks, and they go on an adventure together. Winnie is a young, bored, and proper girl, and the Tucks are adventurous and mysterious. Rowling, it is about a boy “Harry” who has to deal with the feeling of losing a loved one “Sirius.” The main character is Harry who is small and skinny and now 16. He is still living with his aunt and uncle who are mistreating him. The main plot is that Harry has now found out about the prophecy and he has also found out about Horcruxes. This is the plot because if he destroys all the horcruxes then he kills Voldemort. Meanwhile Voldemort is still trying too kill him. My opinion of this book is that it is a good book and has a lot of action I think this because when they fight the death eaters it is so action packed. I also liked this book because the plot twist at the end is big and you would not expect it. I would highly recommend that you read the first 5 books first so it makes sense. Haile R. The book/movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince is a fiction book about a boy who is trying to find all of the horcruxes with the headmaster of Hogwarts, Dumbledore. The main character, Harry Potter is a sixteen year old boy who lost his parents after the dark wizard, Voldemort, tried to kill them. The main problem in this story is Harry Potter and Professor Dumbledore have to find all the horcruxes to defeat Voldemort. The unexpected plot in this story is that Dumbledore dies because he hurt himself by breaking the the ring that was a horcrux, drank a potion that made him sick, and ordered Professor Snape, the potions teacher, to kill him. This story made me feel sad because Dumbledore, an amazing headmaster, died and couldn’t help Harry anymore. Even though bad things happen, the Harry Potter book series will always be my favorite! - Jennifer ![]() Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a fiction book by J. K. Harry is a boy with an enemy that is the worst but the best wizard in the wizarding world named Voldemort, and he would do anything to kill him. In this case, using a monster to kill muggles. The plot is the same in all the books. A dream castle with a few dangers on the journey. But a new setting was changed a little. The Chamber of Secrets. I think the setting was a little scarier than it had to be. Also, It didn’t make me want to keep going. It was boring all the way through until the end. -Regan The book/movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. The main character, Harry Potter, is a twelve year old boy who suffered the loss of both of his parents and learned about a whole new magical world the past year. The main problem in this story is that there are secret messages and people becoming petrified around Hogwarts. The unexpected plot in this story is that Tom Marvolo Riddle is actually Voldemort and he tries to kill Ginny Weasley (Ron, Harry’s best friends sister) to become more powerful. I love the Harry Potter series and I hope you will too! -Jennifer I read the fictional book Harry Potter And the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling and it is about a boy “Harry” who is just really learning who he is. The main character Harry is still living with his rude aunt and uncle because his parents were killed by an evil wizard Lord Voldemort. Harry is still finding his true self and discovering the power that he has. The main problem in this story is that voldemort is still trying to kill Harry. My opinion of this book is that it was good but out of all the Harry Potter books, this one was my least favorite. I think this because it had a lot of action but it was a bit creepy and I felt as though J.K. Rowling should have made it a bit less creepy. But I loved the plot twist at the end. J.K. Rowling wanted you to think one way and suddenly changed your mind. I would recommend this book to a friend but I would suggest that he or she read the first book first. -Haile R. |
