Wonder by R.J. Palacio, is a realistic fiction novel about a 10 year-old boy, August Pullman. August was born with small anomalies and immediately needed surgeries to let him breath and swallow. All his childhood was filled with more surgeries and home-school. Because of his various operations August's face was much different than other children. When he walked down the street, people stared at him or looked away in fear, although August was used to it. This inspiring story is about August's first school experience in fifth grade. I absolutely loved this book because of the characters' personalities as well as the bits of humor. The one thing I also adore about this book is learning about the experience of being different and still shining. -Nithya

The novel Wonder by Raquel J. Palacio is a fiction book. It is about a boy who is named Auggie that has a facial difference. This book is about how he goes to school and how he faces ordinary kids his age. The only problem is how he is treated at school. This book is so great. I loved reading Auggie’s adventure. I thought it was really well written. -Coco
