![]() Who Was Mother Teresa? is a nonfiction book by Jim Gigliotti is about a girl who wanted to help people in the slums of India. Teresa was born in Skopje on August 26, 1910. Mother Teresa has always wanted to help people and that's why she started off by being a nun at St. Mary’s school for girls; she then became known as Sister Teresa, but only for a short time. She was also a teacher for a class. Then her Mother Superior got ill, and that is when she became Mother Teresa. While, she was working at St. Mary’s, she wanted to help the people in the slums of India. She made homes for the ill, sick, and dying. She cared for them and helped them survive, she was a miracle worker as some say. I liked this book because it was about a girl who wanted to help the people who didn’t have much and it was about someone who is inspiring to people. -Annika
