![]() Who Is Malala Yousafzai? is a nonfiction book by Dinah Brown about a girl who is not willing to give up in school even when there is tough conditions. Malala was born in Mingora, Pakistan on July 12, 1997. She always loved going to school because she wanted to be a doctor, but she would have to go to school to achieve that goal. Then the terrorists arrived and they are called the Taliban. They made woman and girls obey severe laws like not going to school, not going out of your house without a man of your relative, and not going to the market. That was a bad sign for Malala because she couldn’t go to school now, but that didn’t stop her. Later the Taliban’s find Malala on her school bus and they shot her in the head, but it does not kill her. She went to hospitals to get her back on track with her life and nine months later she was back and she heaed to Norway to get her Nobel Peace Prize and became the youngest person to get one. I liked this book because it was inspiring to girls and it was very interesting like when she got shot in the head. -Annika
