![]() The realistic fiction book The Great Gilly Hopkins by Katherine Paterson is about a young foster child name Gilly who is moving to a new foster home. Gilly is a rambunctious, young girl, who doesn’t like being a foster kid. The main problem is that Gilly wants to see her real mother, and all she has is a small letter to find her. I absolutely loved this book because it made me feel like I was one of Gilly’s friends. The plot was interesting and unexpected at times. I would recommend this to anybody who loves reading a girl’s feeling in hard times like what Gilly is going through. - Casey
