Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen by Donna Gephart, a fiction story, is about a girl named Olivia who loves to study trivia and loves watching Jeopardy! and she gets her chance to be on kids Jeopardy! Tucker, Olivia’s friend, tells her about it and she tries to get her mom to sign her up, but her mom had just lost her job, so she was upset. Then her mom’s boyfriend, Neil, signs her up and that is her one chance to save her family from her mom’s fate of losing her job and not making anymore money. I liked this book because it was really dramatic and was very grabbing at the end of each chapter. -Annika

Olivia Bean, Trivia Queen
is a fiction book by Donna Gephart. It is about a young girl named Olivia who dreams of being on the show Jeopardy. Her dreams come true when their are people looking for kids to participate in a Jeopardy game. At the same time, Olivia is still recovering from her parents’ divorce and how she lost her best friend. Neil, Olivia’s stepdad, gets Olivia into the Jeopardy game. Olivia started out hating Neil, but soon, Olivia realized that Neil loved her as much as her father did, if not a little more. Her brother, mother, stepfather, and friend, Tucker, helped her prepare for Jeopardy. Her father did not help, though. He promised he would be at the game. Will Olivia’s dad really show up? Will Olivia win? What will happen? Read this book to find all of the answers to these questions. This book was actually very good in the way that the story was very interesting. It wasn’t just about a girl who wanted to do Jeopardy and that was it. It was about a girl who was going through a whole lot in her life. It was the kind of book that makes you smile because someone always does something thoughtful for Olivia in this story. -Sam
