![]() Kizzy Ann Stamps by Jeri Watts a fiction book is about a girl named Kizzy who has a border collie named Shag, and they both get their chance to be in an all white dog competition. Kizzy is a black girl who is just changing to go to a new school that was an all white school. This was in 1963, so they has integration, and she has a scar on the side of her face from a boy named Frank Charles. Frank Charles is a white boy who was not Kizzy’s friend , but he then helps her when her chance comes to be in a dog competition. The problem in the story is that Kizzy and Shag can’t sign up for the dog competition unless Kizzy was a white kid. Kizzy would either have to give up or find a plan. I liked this book because it had some history about when there was integration at that time and that there was a dog involved in the story and I love dogs. -Annika Kizzy Ann Stamps is a realistic fiction book written by Jeri Watts.
