The book Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw  is a children’s novel written by Jeff Kinney in the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid series. The main character is once again, Greg Heffley, a humorous middle schooler who makes a fool out of himself. In the book, Greg was forced to sign up for soccer training and is put into the position of the goalie. In the last game of the season, he takes a break to pick dandelions and the other team scores to win. Greg was punished by the team. Shortly after that, Greg’s dad decides to sign Greg up for military school to shape him up. Greg doesn’t want to go but his dad is really stubborn and does not easily compromise. Greg’s family then attends a neighbor’s baby’s 100th day party where the guests make fools of themselves and try to make the baby laugh. Greg goes there and he climbs a tree to get the present his family was going to give to their neighbors but he did something wrong! What is going to happen next?! Can Greg survive this humiliation? I love this book, just like the others in this series as I have read the book many times. It cracks you up, makes you laugh and laugh and that is the best part of it. It is rib-tickling and makes you never want to stop reading and when it ends, you are like: ”Aw man, I wanted to read more!” -Ernest
