![]() The realistic fiction book Ava and the Taco Cat by Carol Weston is a book about a young girl learning the responsibilities of having a cat of her own. The young girl’s name is Ava. She is a shy, 11 year old girl, who loves to spell things out loud. Ava and her sister Pip want a cat very badly but their parents are still unsure. So Ava and Pip have to prove that they can take care of an animal by themselves. I loved this book because the plot was fun and easy to relate to. I never wanted to put it down; it kept me interested the whole time. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read a fun, relatable book. - Casey
