![]() The book Auggie and Me, by R.J. Palacio, is a realistic fiction sequel to the book Wonder. Wonder was about a boy named August Pullman who was born with a disease that made him have a facial difference. August, or as everyone called him Auggie, was homeschooled due to the many surgeries he had. Wonder was about his first school experience in 5th grade. Auggie and Me, however, was about the same story but from different perspectives. The Julian Chapter was about a bully named Julian and what he felt after what he did to Auggie. The Pluto Chapter was about Auggie’s old friend Christopher, and how he felt about being friends with Auggie. The last chapter was called Shingling and was about a girl named Charlotte and how she became friends with another character, Ximena. I absolutely loved Wonder and almost loved Auggie and Me more. It kept me reading for its suspense and details that were hidden until I read this book. I also thought it was interesting because the author made each chapter in a different and unique time setting. For instance the Julian Chapter took place after the story Wonder, but Shingling was during it. -Nithya
