Many important figures contributed to the victory of battles that would eventually lead to America’s freedom. And while some might be more well recognized than others, there are some less well know people who they couldn’t have won without. Baron von Stuben was a French commander who helped disiplin many soldiers during the harsh winter at Valley Forge, without his training and experience America itself might not exist. Benedict Arnold although he proved to be unworthy and a traitor, before he was turned he was a great help the the Continental army leading them to victory at the battle of Saratoga and helping come up with the plan to take over Fort Ticonderoga. Marquis de Lafayette was also a Frenchmen with military experience, he too, helped train soldiers at Valley Forge ensuring many future victories. So many heroes went unrecognized in the Revolution but they couldn't have won without them.
There were many important people that helped them win the American Revolution. One such person was General Greene, who after the battle at Cowpen won and then followed the British to Yorktown. At first the leader of the southern army was General Gates and when he lost fairly badly to the British at Camden retreated and was fired. Many people on each side fought hard for victory. A few people who helped the Americans get through the most were; Von Steuben, Rochambeau, and any other French general/soldier who sent supplies and trained us. They helped us get through Valley Forge and come out stronger and win the war. One of the best Patriots helpers was probably Francis "Swampfox" Marion. As well as John Glover. Marion was accompanied by Greene at Cowpens, and their plan lead us to victory. John Glover, from earlier in the war, brought George Washington across in ships, helping us escape. Without these men and others, we'd probably be speaking in a British accent right now.
I think George Washington, Baron Von Steuben, and Marquis de Lafayette are really helpful in the war. George was helpful because he was smart and had good plans that helped him win many battles. Baron Von Steuben is really helpful too because he trained the Patriot troops in a short amount of time. Lafayette is very helpful because he got the French on our side and helped us at Yorktown.

George Washington lead all of the soldiers and made up strategies with other foreign French generals. Secondly, Baron von Stueben also played an important role. He trained the soldiers at Valley Forge, helping them with a better drill, and a quicker shooting routine. Third, I would say the Midnight Riders. On the night of Lexington and Concord, they told everyone that the British were coming. It would be major lose if nobody warned everyone that the British were coming. There were soldiers, officers, generals, and others who risked their own lives to get freedom for our country.
