What If John Smith was never Friends with Pocahontas.
If John Smith was never Friends with Pocahontas.Than When John got taken by the Native Amaricans he would have gotten killed. So that means that James town lost their great leader. Also John Rolfe would have never married Pocahontas,so the Natives would have attacked the settlers at James Town.
If John Smith and Pocahantas weren't friends, I think that there would have been a big war and they wouldn't have been able to communicate and they wouldn't have learned how to farm. Also, I believe that the Jamestown colonists would have failed, kind of like the Roanoke settlers.
If John Smith and Pocahontas have never became friends John Smith would of died from the Indians. It would of effected Jamestown because John Smith made an work no eat rule. If nobody worked they would starve to death.
If Pocahontas and John Smith never became friends, I think that the success of Jamestown would not survive. If John Smith was killed, the settlers would be powerless. They would not work as hard because their new leader could be weak and powerless.
Wen Jhon smmth was there he got a lucky including when Pocahontas saved his life, but what some uf us wonder what happens if she never saved his life. If Pocahotas never becae friends with Jhon Smith would die or his people would come to save him. His people would come to save him beecause he was thier leader he is the only way his people would stay together.
Thogh there also is the chance they would nit make it in time.
Any thing could haappen according to SCIENCE!
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends history could be very different and here is a reason why! Well, for starters f they hadn´t met then there wouldn´t be peace between the Native Americans and the James Town settlers causing the James Town colony to be wiped out by the Native Americans because Pocahontas was a peace keeper between the Native Americans and the Settlers! I think that is the biggest way James Town could be affected if John Smith never met Pocahontas!
If John Smith and Pocahontas never become friends. I think there might have been war between the Powhatan tribe and the people of Jamestown because when John Rolfe and Pocahontas got married there was peace but once she died war broke out. You can never really know what might have happened what if they never became friends but that is what I believe might have happened.
The friendship between Pocahontas and John Smith aided the success of the Jamestown colony. If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends, there would have been disastrous and deadly fighting between the Native Americans and the people of Jamestown. Pocahontas served as a peacemaker between both groups, because she had connections with the English and the Native Americans. Without their valuable friendship, Pocahontas would not have been an important supplier of food for the colonists and they would have suffered. Through the Anglo-Indian friendship formed, Pocahontas was an informer to John Smith of her father's aggressive plans, without the advance information the colonists would not have been prepared for attacks and would not have been successful. Pocahontas was married to John Rolfe and therefore she used her people to help the Jamestown settlers. The friendship of Pocahontas and John Smith helped the success of Jamestown and without it there would have been many attacks.
If John Smith had never became friends with pocahontas, John Smith would have died and Jamestown would be affected because he made the no work no eat rule. This means that Jamestown would not be built successfully and people will starve.
The success of Jamestown would have been greatly affected if John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends. First, John Smith might have been killed when he was captured by the Indians. Pocahontas was key to getting his freedom and keeping the peace between the Indians and Settlers. John Smith's freedom lead to the success of Jamestown because he was a great Leader and came up with the "if you don't work you don't eat rule."
If Pocahontas had never became friends with John Smith than there would not have been success in Jamestown. Most likely John Smith would have been killed by local Indians and the settlement would not survive. Also, everyone else would have probably been killed too. That is how it was important that Pocahontas became friends with John Smith.
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends, a lot of bad things would happen to Jamestown and they wouldn't be successful . One bad thing that would happen is that the Native American tribe that Pocahontas was in, would attack Jamestown earlier and kill most of them. Also the Native American Tribe that Pocahontas was in, they would give them food so if they weren't friends, Jamestown wouldn't get food and they would starve. My last reason is that when John Smith got captured, the Native Americans were going to kill him but Pocahontas saved him and Jamestown wouldn't be successful without John Smith. These are some of the reason why Jamestown wouldn't be successful if John Smith and Pocahontas were friends.
If John Smith was never friends with Pocahantas then Jamestown
might have never survived the natives would probably kill the colony.
If john smith and Pocahontas never became friends than they would have killed each other, and Jamestown would be reacked.
it would have affected jamestown because the indian's and english would fight and alot would die
If Pocahontas never became friends with John Smith may bad things would've happened. 1. John Smith would've been killed by Powhtan. 2. Jamestown would fail because the Powhtans would attack and kill many settlers. 3. The settlers would've starved because the Indians gave them food. These are some examples of what would've happened if Pocahontas and John Smith never became friends.
If Pocohantas and John Smith had never become friends, the Jamestown colonists and the natives would have not been peaceful at all. John Smith would have died when he was captured by the Powhatans, and Pocohantas wouldn't have married John Rolfe. Pocohantas kept peace since she married an Englishman. The Jamestown colony would have not been successful without their leader, and the natives would attack. This is why it is good that John Smith and Pocohantas were friends.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never met the Powhatan and the Jamestown Colonists would probably always fight and one or both of them would probably get wiped out.
If Pocahantas and John Smith never met and became friends then the Indians would attack all the Englishmen and maybe even finish the colony. Then there would be no one knowing that the Englishmen settled in a place named Jamestown. Then Jamestown would be known as a Indian settlement and then that means that since Jamestown and Roanoke were surrounded by Indians, that the Indian population would grow. Then there would possibly be a big war because the Indians want to keep the land but England wants to claim it. Who knows what new people will show up and who will die.
One day John Smith saw a poster that said Virginia company and that company would pay for the ships if they went to claim land for England and John smith wanted to go so he went when he arived at a new place the person in charge was a sissie sooner or later they said they needed a new leader so the chose John Smith to be the leader and to make the sissies work he descieded to make the “no work, no eat” policy. John Smith dodged getting killed 4 times and one of those four times the indians captured him and were going to kill him but Pocahonis ran in to save him because they became good friends so If John Smith and Pocahotis never became friends it might of affected the sucess of jamestown becouse John smith would’ve died and then the sissies wouldn’t work witch ment they would have less people working and soon they would all sufer.
If pochantos and john smith were never friends then jamestown might've not been as successful. This is because since they were friends there was peace between the English and Indians.
John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends, a lot of things could've happened. John Smith got captured by Powhatan, and Pocahontas then saved him. If she had not done that then the settlers of Jamestown would have attacked Powhatan and his tribe. After, Pocahontas would visit the few settlers and give them food. If she did not do this they would all die since they did not have a lot of supplies. That is what would've happened if John and Pocahontas had not become friends.
If Pocahontas and John Smith never became friends then there probably would not be a Jamestown. I say that because if they weren't friends then the Indians would attack them and destroy Jamestown.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never became friends then there would have probably been a totally different result. First, if the myth that Pocahontas saved John Smith is true then John Smith would have died early on. If John Smith had died early on then Jamestown would’ve had no leader and then everyone would start taking days off. Also if they never met then the Indians and the english might not of gotten along as well. I think that if Pocahontas had never met John Smith then there would have been a whole different result
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends that would have affected Jamestown by. The Indians would have attacked.Jamestown would have fallen. Plus their leader would have gotten killed by the Indians. That's why Jamestown would have fallen if Pocahontas and John Smith had never become friends.
If John White and Pocahontas had never become friends then it would have had an impact on Jamestown. It would have affected them because the native Americans thought that the English were sketchy from the beginning. The only reason the native Americans did not attack was because John and Pocahontas were friends. If the two had never become friends the natives would have attacked at the very beginning. This is why it would have had an effect on the settlers of Jamestown
If John Smith and Pocahontas never met, it would end up bad. If Pocahontas never knew John Smith, when John Smith was captured by the Indians, they would have killed him. If they killed John Smith, the Indians would attack the Jamestown people, and they would kill them all. If that happened. the success of Jamestown would have been different. If John Smith and Pocahontas never met, it would be bad.
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends then he would have been killed, and without John the rest of the Jamestown colony would not be as successful as they were when John Smith was the leader because he created the " No work No Eat" Policy.
If John Smith was never friends with Pocahontas Jamestown might have never succeeded. Because John Smith would have been killed by the Indians. if John Smith was killed a lot of people would have not work to build Jamestown. And Jamestown might not of succeeded because of war with the Indians.
What if John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends? I think that if they had never become friends, Jamestown would fail and not be successful, due to Indian attacks. The Indians would attack because the there would be no more friendship, the colonists would just be people taking up all their space. If Pocahontas never saved John Smith, he could have been killed or captured and used as a slave, and Jamestown wouldn't have their leader anymore so they wouldn't know what to do. Everyone would be killed or captured by the Indians, so there would be no more Jamestown.
Jamestown was successful because of their friendship.
There are many things of what might of happened if John Smith didn’t become friends. One is that most of Jamestown would probably be dead because Pocahontas keep the peace. Another one is if Pocahontas didn’t keep the peace the house would also be destroyed and there would be no place to go to. The last one is if Pocahontas didn’t keep the peace there ships would have also been destroyed and didn’t have a way to evacuate. And those are the reasons how Jamestown would have been a success if Pocahontas wasn’t friends with John Smith.
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends many things could've happened. John Smith could have been killed. A war could’ve broken out. Jamestown probably wouldn't survive. Those are only a few reasons what could've happened if Pocahontas and John Smith never became friends.
Pocahontas saved John smith. If she didn't he wouldn't have made It. Then Jamestown would have maybe never been successful. They needed John to help get Jamestown get built and ready. Also the settlers would have been powerless.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends then the Indians and English would probably go to war sooner. Pocahontas had kept peace within the Indians and English. When Pocahontas dies everything just gets worse. Jamestown would probably not succeed. If John Smith and Pocahontas had not become friends then history would be changed.
I think if John Smith never become friends with Pocahontas then it would effect a lot of conflict between the Indians and Englishman. Maybe the Pilgrims would think that they would never be able to live there, and leave. Or maybe, they would have war, and who knows who would win? Maybe the Indians would think that they were here for war, and attack them when they wouldn’t be expecting. A lot could happen to them, but who knows what?
If John Smith and Pocahontas never met this would have happened. All of Jamestown would have died because John Smith would have died. The Powhatan village would have gotten attacked so would Jamestown. There would also be a lot of “SISSY” English men and wouldn’t have become strong worthy men. That is what would have happened if John Smith and Pocahontas never met.
Pocahontas was a good girl who made Jamestown peaceful, not any fighting, and got people to work. If John Smith and Pocahontas had never met to be friends it would had been a mess. People would be fighting, work would not have been done, and of course it would not had been as peaceful as it was. It could affect Jamestown by there being any wars from stealing, or they might had not survived with no shelter or food growing. If it was not for Pocahontas something bad could had happened. The people in Jamestown should be happy that John Smith and Pocahontas met and became friends.
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends. If they never became friends they John Smith would have got killed. Also they would get a lazy leader. Last their population would go down because the Indians would kill them. John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends.
If Pocahontas and John Smith did not become friendsJamestown would have not been successful. The colonists would have fought with the Indians and would not have had the be if its of having a peaceful relationship with the Indians. John Smith might have died.
If Pocohantas and John Smith were not friends I think the settlers of Jamestown would have struggled with survival. Also, I think the natives would have captured John Smith and killed him. The Powhatan tribe would also probably attacked over and over killing a lot of settlers. Finally, Jamestown settlers would starve because the Powhatan people helped them with food. That is what I think what would have happened if John Smith and Pocohantas were not friends.
If John Smith was not Pocahontas's friend then they John Smith would be attacked by the natives and would die. then the Powatans would attack the English and Jamestown would not succeed as a colony. Jamestown settlers would have a hard time surviving and would probably starve. After that happened Jamestown would probably give up the settlement attempt and probably would not return for years to come. thats what i thing would happen if John Smith was not Pocahantas's friend but really anything could happen.
If John Smith and Pochahontas had never became friends the success of Jamestown would have gone a whole different way. The Indians and the Pilgrims would constantly be fighting. They also wouldn’t have a leader because John Smith would be dead and all the people would not work very much so no work would get done. With no fierce leader and fighting with the Indians the English colonists wouldn’t be able to survive. If John Smith and Pochahontas didn’t become friends it would have gone downhill.
If John smith and phocahautas never became friends then the Indians would have killed everybody from Jamestown and Pochahantas would not have married John Rolf. That is how Jamestown would have been affected
If john Smith and Pocohauntus had not been friends Jamestown could've failed. The native Americans could've attacked and wiped out everybody in Jamestown and it would've been like Roanoke. When Pocohauntus saved John Smith, She also saved Jamestown. She helped the English have a settlement in the new world.
If Pocahontas and John Smith had never become friends, It would've had a significant effect. Because they were the peace keepers of the settlement. They're Friendship joined the two groups together in way a family can unite. If they were not friends, it would cause them to have a battle since the English men landed and settled close to Pocahontas tribe, which it was like a threat.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends, the effect on Jamestown would probably have been so bad that Jamestown might not have been the first permanent English settlement! John Smith was a very powerful leader of Jamestown. He was one of the sources that made Jamestown start building, by making the No work, No eat policy. The Indian tribe that was around where they had chosen to settle did not find John Smith likeable. The leader of the tribe, Powhatan, tried to kill John Smith. However, his daughter Pocahontas convinced him to not kill John Smith, so he didn’t. If Pocahontas hadn’t saved John Smith’s life and kept peace between Jamestown and Powhatan , Jamestown may not have survived.
The success of Jamestown would not of happened if Pocahontas and John White didn't become friends because. They would fight with one another, they would Kill each other And the colonist wouldn't survive all because of John Smith and Pocahontas were friends.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends, the success of Jamestown would have been changed greatly. One example is if they have never become friends, the Indians may have attacked earlier before Jamestown grew. Another example is that if they had never become friends, the Indians would have never taught them how to grow tobacco which meant not many settlers would have come to Jamestown. One final example is if they had never had become friends, John Rolfe would not marry her. If John Rolfe had not married her, the Indians would have attacked earlier. If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends, the success of Jamestown would never be the same.
England’s English colony might have not been so successful If Pocahontas and John Smith had not become friends. This colony, Jamestown may have not succeeded as well, if Pocahontas and John Smith had not become such good friends. This would happen for many reasons. One of which is John Smith may have not been alive in rough times like the years of 1609 and 1610 if Pocahontas hadn’t saved his life when neighboring Indians captured him. Another reason is that Pocahontas was a peacemaker between the Indians and the English. So it may have not succeeded if Pocahontas did not become the peacemaker because the English would just fight with the local Indians and there would be lots of battles between the English and Indians. So if John and Pocahontas had never become friend it will have affected the success of England’s English colony.
If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends a lot of things would change. If they never became friends John Smith would have died. John Smith dieing would lead to Jamestown falling because there would be no “ no work no eat rule”.Also Pocahontas probably would have not married John Rolfe because he would probably be very weak or even dead.In conclusion lots of things could have happened John Smith would have died jamestown would have fell and pocahontas may have not gotten married.
If John Smith And Pocahontas had never become friends then John Smith could have been killed by the Indians who had captured him. I t might have effected Jamestown as well because there was no one tom keep them in line and work. That's how it might have affected Jamestown.
If John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends that would mean John Smith would have gotten killed. This would have effected the success Jamestown because the English would never work and would die easily. As a result, Jamestown would not be able to succeed without Pocahontas big heart and Smith´s constructive self.
If Pochahontas and John Smith hadn’t become friends, there could have been lots of effects. Pochahontas was the peace maker of the two groups. Jamestown was already struggling without Indians attacking. If the Indians did attack Jamestown, it might not have survived. Also, when John Smith was captured, Pochahontas was the one who stopped her people from doing anything to him. When Pochahontas died after going to England, the Powhatan wanted war. If this happened sooner, when the English were just getting a grip on things, they would have serious problems. These are just some effects that would have shown up between the Powhatan and the English if Pocahontas did not make peace.
If Smith and Pocahontas never became friends then Smith would have died and Jamestown would crumble as a colony from the war that was started because Powaton killed their leader.
I think if Pocahontas and John Smith had never become friends Jamestown would not have survived. I think that because if Pocahontas had not saved John Smith when the Natives captured him he would have died. That would lead to the colonists not doing any work and they would not have any food to eat or a place to live. The English would steal food from the Pohawtan Native's to survive and the Native's would get mad. When the English keep on stealing food they would fight and kill a lot of English colonists because they did not have a place to live. The few remaining colonists would recede to England because they were scared of the Pohawton and no other English colonists would go to the area near the Pohawton tribe. If Pocahontas and John Smith never became friends I think the Jamestown colony would not have been succesful.
The friendship between John Smith and Pocahantus was very important for the survival of both John Smith and the Jamestown Colony. Also, I would say that it indirectly affected not only Jamestown, but the overall success of Europe colonizing the New World.
If they never become friends, John Smith is killed by Chief Powhatan. John Smith was instrumental in the construction and growth on the Jamestown Colony. If John Smith had died in a conflict with the natives, it would have cause unrest with the settlers. Additionally, if the natives had killed John Smith, it is possible that there never would have been peace between the natives and colonists. This peace directly is responsible for growth of Jamestown and the starting point for growth into new areas of North America. I would say that after Roanoke, if another colony didn't survive, it would have cause too much fear for anyone to try to settle in the New World. America would definitely look different today.
If Pocahontas and John Smith had never met, the colonists at Jamestown (including John Smith) would have been in trouble. The colonists were already struggling to survive in their new surroundings Pocahontas' tribe helped them make it. Without help from the Native Americans, most of the colonist probably would have died. Also, John Smith would have been killed by Pocahontas' father, if she didn't save him at the last second.
