Modern technology could have made the Battle of Lexington and Concord easier for the Americans. First, if email, or text existed back then, the Americans could have been alerted that the British were coming earlier than they were. Second, if the Americans were alerted off of the internet, Paul Revere wouldn't have had to make his midnight ride because the internet is fast and the Americans would have already received the message. If Paul Revere didn't have to make his midnight ride, he might have been of some other help, such as helping prepare for when the British attacked. Last, if the Americans had been alerted that the British were going to attack sooner, they would have been able to prepare for battle earlier, and would have been more prepared for the attack. Those are some of the ways I think modern technology could have changed the Battle of Lexington and Concord in the American Revolution.
Modern technology could have been used in the Battle of Lexington. Instead of the Midnight Riders (Paul Revere, William Dawes, and others) going to risk their lives in the night, they could of been safe at home. If they had modern technology, they could have sent an alert through technology and email the patriots that the British were coming. The Revolution and other events would of been easier if they had modern technology.
If modern technology has been around, what would have happened differently in the War of 1812? Well, just days before the U.S.A. declared war on Great Britain, Great Britain decided to stop tormenting the U.S. Unfortunately, news travels very slowly in 1812. So, the U.S. declared war after the decision was made. If they had modern tech, the war would have not even happened . Great Britain could have sent something to the U.S.A., and nothing would have happened. That's what would have gone down differently in the War of 1812.
If we would have modern communication technology and known about the peace treaty was signed earlier a lot of british lives would be saved and andrew jackson might not become a national hero and may not be elected president later on.
If Trenton had modern day technology it would be different and here is how. During the battle of Trenton the British general didn't get the letter from the Hessians that said we were going to attack. So if we had phones, computers, or iPad we could email or text each other that we were going to attack. Also they could interact and talk about their plan on how and what to attack with. So if Trenton had modern day technology it would be different and the British might've won.
If there was modern technology had been back when Jefferson made the agreement with France for the Louisiana territory, Robert Livingston and James Monroe could of just used apple pay instead of using the ships to get the money from america and going to France again.
If we had modern technology during the battle of Yorktown the Americans probably would have lost. This would have happened because General Green and Cornwallis would have been able to to contact general Clinton and get him to come help the British win battle. If this happened there would be more British people to defeat and winning would be harder.
If modern technology was around, wars would have been way different. If the "Battle of Washington" had a piece of technology that would help it would be a tracking device. A few ways a tracking device could help is that the people in the white house could have been prepare, and could have taken ALL the valuable items out. They could also get their army prepared to fight. The tracking device would have changed things a lot, and the white house wouldn't have been burned down.
If there was a phone in 1812 the Battle of New Orleans never would have happened. The battle happened after the war ended because of slow communication, and it could have been avoided if there was a phone. Just a phone call and the war would have been called off and lives would have been spared. But if this battle didn't happen Andrew Jackson might not have become president because here put up cotton barriers and fended off the British. This battle was very bloody and phones would have helped.
In the War of 1812, it could've ended earlier. The battle of New Orleans was the bloodiest battle of them all but if back then we had modern technology then it would never have even happened! The battle of New Orleans started on Jan 5, 1815 but the Treaty of Ghent was signed December 24, 1814 by the British. If we had email or even the telephone we would have never had the New Orleans Battle. It would've never happened because the Americans did not know the British had stopped the war and did not get word in time.
There were many things that could have been avoided if there was modern technology during the battles, but the whole war of 1812 could have been avoided if there were cell phones. British Parliament could have just texted (or called) the American Constitution and we would've avoided this whole war.
If there was modern technology Livingston and Monroe would not have had to go to France come back and then go again. They could just email each other about the Louisiana Purchase. They would not have to go find Thomas Jefferson. They could just email him. Another time was at the end of the War of 1812. If there was modern technology The Battle of New Orleans would have never happened because it happened a week after the war ended.
If we were to have cell phones back then how who we have known when something were to happen. Well, in the first place in the Battle of New York the British made a plan to cut off New York. With the modern technology the mistake would have never happened. The British were coming from every side to get to the middle, it's sad to say but that didn't happen. One of the sides got attacked and left, and Howe chose not to come to New York, but to go and take over Pennsylvania. He took Pennsylvania but he later got fired for not sticking to the plan. If the didn't go to Pennsylvania, the probably would have won. And what happened with the other troops, if you wanted to know, the got attacked at Saratoga and lost so they had a bad day, to the american General Gates. They finally got to the plan and nobody was there. He waited for a while and when they got low on food he would send troops and none would come back. Ethan Allen came in and was excited to fight the British and win. If they had cell phones they totally would have won the war and Burgoyne wouldn't have to wait. So that is what would have happened if we had cell phones when the plan at Albany took place.
If during the battle of bunker hill we would've had more powerful guns, then maybe, just maybe we would've been able to keep bunker hill and shoot off the British. But only if we had more powerful weapons.
I feel that if tec. was around back then, maybe the Lewis & Clark expedition would have turned out difrantly. Maybe they could'eve taken photos and describe more, they could text Jefferson and send photos, notes, ect.
There were multiple incidents in our Social Studies year where an event’s outcome would be different if the Colonists and or the British had Modern technology. For example, at Bunker Hill, although the Colonists were able to kill over 2,000 British soldiers, it is thought that the British overtook the hill because the Colonists ran out of ammunition. Perhaps, with the use of modern transport vehicles, it would have allowed commanders William Prescott, Israel Putnam, and all of the other leaders to provide the Colonists with reinforcements, and more ammo allowing them to overtake the hill. Another example was at the battle of New York. If the British had weather instruments or the use of meteorologists in order to predict the weather, they could plan to attack sooner. Ultimately, being able to disable General Washington's army which had retreated to the Peninsula. Therefore, wiping out Washington's entire army and winning the Revolutionary War. There were tons of ways that the outcomes of many historical events would have changed over the course of history, if only people had use of modern technology as we know it today.
