The Great Awakening influenced people to have colonial independence. The people were influenced because they were being taught differently then the Church of England. Also they didn’t like being controlled by them, they liked their government. Last, they thought that England was to strict and they didn’t like being controlled like a baby that is confused. This is what I think the Great Awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence from England.

In what ways might the Great Awakening have helped develop the idea of Colonial Independence from England? Initially Church services were quiet, formal and not much emotions were expressed. Church services wanted people to absorb what was said, and they held great power just like England. Also giving money was required and people were not served equally, they were divided by class. After the Great Awakening people would gather to listen to preachers. Religion became more open, new churches were created, supporting churches with money was less common. New Colleges were created like Harvard and William and Mary. The practice of division of class was challenged, and made people change their way of thinking. All of these new teachings helped creating an independent spirit that continued to grow over time, finalizing in Independence from England. this is how I believe The Great Awakening helped develop this idea of colonial independence.

The Great Awakening helped the idea of Colonial Independence from England because the Great Awakening taught people that God loves everybody equally. It also helped preachers realize to not give the rich more respect than the poor, as they did in a manner of letting the wealthy sit in front while the poor had to sit in the back of the CHURCH where they couldn't see or hear anything. Additionally, it made non religious people, that never respected God, learn that God was an important part of life and became religious and better humans. Yes, the Great Awakening helped people in many ways. It did not end slavery completely but, it helped shed a light on how they looked and felt about the government and helped to look at all people equally. The Great Awakening also played a role in building colleges that allowed African Americans Indians and African Americans. Another thing that happened was that the church separated from the government. It helped people become religious, helped to have people give more respect to the poor, and most important of all, helped the Idea of Colonial Independence.

The Great Awakening helped develop the idea of Colonial independence from England in many ways. First, people were more concerned for the poor and were nicer to them where before they were ignored and not valuable. Second, people who didn't go to church and didn't have religion started to worship God because the churches encouraged the people to build their own relationship with God. Lastly, young adults quit their bad behaviors that caused the religious leaders trouble. Religious freedom grew and the church became separate from the government and this was good for all. These are some of the ways that the Great Awakening developed the idea of independence from England.

The great awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence in several ways. The preachers did not stress following rules like they had to follow in The Church. The people began to join new churches that believed the way that they did. The new churches taught that god loved the weak and poor as much as the rich and powerful which created an independent spirit. In the end these changes led the people to have a desire to become independent of Great Britain.

The Great Awakening helped develop the colonial independence from Great Britain. The Great Awakening was a religious movement that occurred in the colonies and changed the way people thought of and related to their leaders. It also taught people in the colonies that God loves the weak and the poor as much as he loves the rich and powerful. It did not abolish slavery, but it taught that no group or class should enjoy special favors. These teachings would help create an independent spirit over time.

The Great Awakening made people think about everyone fairly. The new preachers travelled around so more people could feel God in them and help other people. It gave people more choices and they didn't have to pay to go to church. They no longer needed the religion of Great Britain because they felt it was treating them badly. They started to think more independently.

The Great Awakening may have helped develop the idea of Colonial Independence from England. The Colonists liked having the option of choosing the way they practiced religion. It became more enjoyable for the Colonists to worship God so more people wanted to worship in this new way. These changes made the Colonists realize they liked the new way of worshiping better than the British way which was calm and boring. In conclusion, the Great Awakening may be responsible for giving the Colonists the idea that doing things differently from Britain may be more fun. So now the Colonists may want to make more changes to Great Britain's way and be more fun and express their feelings more.

The Great Awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence from England in different ways. First, church preachers such as George Whitefield did not focus on following rules. They made church services more personal and told people to build their own relationship with God. This weakened powerful churches. Also, it was less common for taxpayers to support a church, and the church separated from government. Finally, the Great Awakening taught people that God loved everyone equally. All of these teachings helped people become independent.

The Great Awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence in several ways. It helped preachers realize to not give the rich more respect than the poor. The Great Awakening preachers believed everyone had the right to hear religion so the past notion of only letting the wealthy and government leaders sit in the front vanished and even the enslaved Africans and American Indians were allowed to listen to their sermons. This equality idea led the colonists to have a feeling of autonomy, religious freedom, and independence. While the Great Awakening didn't end slavery, it changed the way the colonists thought about their leaders in that God loves the poor and the weak just as much as the rich and powerful. Also, Great Awakening preachers such as George Whitefield did not focus on following rules, but instead believed that people should have their own personal relationship with God. Finally, government separated from religion so there was no longer a requirement of taxpayers to support the church. These are some of the ways that the Great Awakening developed the idea of independence from England.

The great awakening helped the idea of colonial independence by helping people learn to connect with god. It also helped people have more faith, or change the way that they have been doing things to improve their work. Third, the preachers made it easier to actively listen, where as the other preachers bored you to death. These are some reasons why the great awakening helped colonial independence.

The Great Awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence by giving the colonists religious freedom. People like the Angelicans and the Puritans no longer got to choose what religion their colonists studied. The Great Awakening let people choose what they practiced to help make heir own paths to God. The earlier churches began to lose power as the newer ones started to rise. Thanks to the new churches, the people that had not been religious before, now were more likely to be. The Great Awakening gave colonists a new freedom in their relationship with god.

The Great Awakening could have helped the idea of colonial independence from England by changing the way the colonists thought of England. For a long time, churches held a lot of power in the colonies. The services weren’t very interesting, and the people there did not express much emotion. The Great Awakening helped change some ideas of religion. The people with power and a lot of money usually got better spots at church, while the poor had to sit in the back or outside. The Great Awakening changed that. People began to realize that everyone should get the same amount of education, and new schools were created, new beliefs were created, and people started to think of things differently. Eventually, people began to think about how their leaders in England were treating them, and it changed their feelings about them. It is evident that the Great Awakening had a huge impact on the colonists, and it led to independence from England!

The Great Awakening helped the Colonists’ develop the idea of independence from England in several ways. Before the Great Awakening, taxpayers had to support the churches and people were treated according to their wealth. Poor people and freed slaves had to sit in the back of the church or outside. After the Great Awakening, there was less focus on rules an more focus on God. People had freedom to sit where they wanted and didn’t have to support the churches with their taxes. They were becoming more independent thinkers.

The Great Awakening helped develop the thought of colonial independence from England in many ways. Some church preachers did not follow church rules. First of all, people were quiet and did not express much emotions at church services. Also, the church sat people based on their status. For example, the rich and the powerful were seated at the front, and the poor and weak felt like they were not part of the services. Then, in the 1730's, the "Great Awakening" happened. Men and women were told to pick their way of praising God and following that way. Churches broke away from the government, and colonists were joining new churches, such as Baptist and Methodist churches. The Great Awakening showed that God loved the weak and the powerless just as much as the powerful. The practice of taxpayers supporting a church became less common because of the Great Awakening. The Great Awakening did make a start to religious freedom and changed the history of America. It challenged the way colonists thought and created an independent spirit that grew over time.

The Great Awakening gave more religious freedom. The colonists were able to have more equality with the rich and poor in their religion. This also gave the Native Americans more freedom in joining a religion. It also helped to give colonists their own religion instead of following Briton. The Great Awakening helped to give colonists more freedom.

The Great Awakening may have helped the colonist think about breaking away from England. The colonist liked to have free religion. The colonist also liked getting treated better from the new churches. For example, there was no specific seating which made the colonist feel equal. The colonist also liked not having to pay taxes to the new churches. All of this helped the colonist think about independence.

The Great Awakening helped developed the idea of colonial independence from England in several ways. The Great Awakening made powerful churches weak and people had freedom to choose which religion to follow. Many people converted to become Baptists or Methodists. Over time, churches separated from the government and people did not have to pay the church tax money. People started enjoying church and going more often and even sleeping overnight sometimes. Preachers traveled from town to town so it was easier to go to church. During the Great Awakening, people were being treated equally in all the churches. Africans and Indians were allowed to sit anywhere in church. The Great Awakening did not stop slavery, but it taught ways on how to treat people and it helped get independence from England.

The Great Awakening helped develop the idea of colonial independence from England by giving the colonists the choice to decide what kind of religion and church they wanted to go to. The Great Awakening told people they were all loved the same by God no matter if they were rich or poor. Lots of different churches and religions were started by different types of people so they felt like the had somewhere to belong. Being able to make those choices by themselves and not by the government helped the colonists become independant from England.
