If Pocahontas and John Smith had never become friends, Jamestown would never have been the first successful English colony. Since Pocahontas was the daughter of the chief in a Native American village nearby, she could stop him from attacking the settlement. The Natives in that area had heard about the Europeans attacking America. They had also heard about what happened to the tribe on Roanoke Island. So, when members of the tribe saw the Englishmen’s ships, they were ready. While the rest of the tribe wanted to attack the Europeans, Pocahontas wanted to learn more about them. Pocahontas stopped her father from ordering an attack on the Europeans many times. If Pocahontas had not been there to stop the chief from attacking, the survivors would have probably gone back to England. But Pocahontas was there, and as a result, Jamestown is still a place to see today!

If John Smith never became friends with Pocahontas John Smith probably would have died because there was a group of settlers who conspired to kill John. Pocahontas told him about their plot and saved his life. If Pocahontas wasn’t so brave John could have died and couldn’t have started Jamestown. If he didn’t start Jamestown, English settlers would not have had a place to go,p. In conclusion, their friendship was a really important part of history.

If John Smith and Pocahontas have not become friends he would have been dead because Pocahontas stepped in when he was about to be killed. Jamestown would have lost their leader and would have go to war with the native tribe.

If John Smith never became friends with Pocahontas, Jamestown would not exist because he would have been killed by Powhatan. Pocahontas was Chief Powhatan's daughter. She wanted to learn about the English settlers instead of harming them. If they would have gone to war, the colonists would have lost because there were more Powhatan's than the colonists. In addition, if John Smith would have been dead, Jamestown would've failed because he would've never been there to help English settlers colonize. Jamestown is known as the most successful English Settlement. It wouldn't be in existence had they not met. It is interesting to say that the one little movement of Pocahontas saved all of Jamestown.

If Pocahontas never became friends with John Smith wouldn’t Jamestown wouldn’t have been a successful colony. It wouldn’t have been successful because the native tribe would’ve broken down Jamestown. The another reason that Pocahontas’s relationship was important was because she was the leader’s daughter of the native tribe. Those are some reasons Pocahontas’s relationship with John Smith was really important!

If John Smith and Pocohontas didn't become friends, then John Smith would have died because the Powaton's would have executed him. That didn't happen because Pocohontas was nice and said, "Don't kill these people, they didn't know we were living here before they came". Pocohontas' father was the ruler of the tribe so she told her Dad not to kill John Smith. Pocahontas and John Smith both wanted their people to be friendly to each other. Since John Smith lived, he helped the people of Jamestown build a colony and crops. John Smith told people if you don't work, you'll go home hungry. So he motivated the people to build the first settlement that worked.

If John Smith and Pocahontas would never have been friends then the Powhatans would have killed John Smith. There would have been war and nobody would get along. They also would have never met. So it would start war, killed the settlers leader, and would break peace and happiness at Jamestown forever.

If John Smith had never become friends with Pocahontas, Jamestown would probably not have become the first successful colony. The Powhatans would have destroyed the colony. Pocahontas's dad was the chief of the Powhatan Native Americans and he wanted to attack John Smith and his crew. Pocahontas stopped her father and helped John Smith and the settlers of Jamestown. If they had not met, there would have been many more fights between the settlers of Jamestown and the Powhatans. That is what would happen if John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends.

If Pocahontas never decided to save John Smith then the settlers at Jamestown wouldn’t know what to do or go. Also if Pocahontas never became friends with John Smith then the English wouldn’t have their first successful colony. Jamestown would not be successful if John had died but, Pocahontas saved John. If Pocahantas had never become friends with John, there could have been war between the Indians and the English and Jamestown would have never been a settled colony. If Pocahontas never met John Smith, and they were never friends, then John Smith would have died from the Indians when they captured him. If Pocahontas didn't save John Smith, Jamestown would be in a very bad position as people would start taking days off again, and they wouldn't get anything done. They would also run out of supplies eventually. John Smith was the leader, and he kept everything in control. If the people of Jamestown didn't work they wouldn't get to eat. No work no eat!

If Pocahontas and John Smith had not become friends then I think Jamestown would not survive. First, the Indians would kill him because Pocahontas would not save him. With no john Smith there would not be the "no work no eat". Because of that English settlers would pack up and leave. Next, they would get in fights with Indians. Those are some things that would happen if Pocahontas was not friends with John Smith.

If John Smith never became friends with Pocahontas he would have been killed by her tribe. She saved him when her father the chief wanted to have him executed. If she had not saved him then Jamestown would not have survived and the people probably would have died from starvation. He was the one who taught the people the no work no eat policy that made people learn how to work hard when they were business men who did not know how to do that. John Smith also taught the people how to trade to get what they needed. If Pocahontas did not become friends with him then none of that would have happened for Jamestown.

If John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends John would have died when the Indians captured him. This would have lead to the failure of Jamestown. With John Smith being dead, things would have been like before where not many people worked and food was scarce because whatever was harvested quickly disappeared by those who were to lazy to work. Jamestown would never have been built quickly because John Smith would not have been able to tell everyone but if they didn’t work they couldn’t eat. In conclusion, the success of Jamestown depended on the friendship of John Smith and Pocahontas which became stronger after they were each able to help their people.

When John Smith met Pocahontas, it had very good effects on his life and Jamestown. First, John Smith was a very important person to Jamestown with his no work, no eat policy. If he had died Jamestown would have failed horribly, and it would be a mess. Because of Pocahontas, peace was kept in between her tribe and Jamestown. Many more colonists or Natives would have died before she died without her. Without John Smith or Pocahontas, Jamestown wouldn't have succeeded as well, and definitely wouldn't have become the first permanant English colony.

If John Smith had never been friends with Pocahontas he may have been captured by the Native Americans and killed. Pocahontas was the chiefs daughter and because of that the Native Americans did not hurt him. Their friendship helped keep peace between the settlers in Jamestown and the Native Americans. The settlers and Native Americans helped each other and Jamestown was able to get bigger. When Pocahontas died the Native Americans attacked Jamestown and killed a lot of people.
If they had not been friends the settlers may have all been killed and there would be no Jamestown.

If Pocahontas and John Smith had never been friends, then John Smith would have been executed, and Jamestown most likely wouldn’t be there. He was very important and it would have been terrible if he had died, because he was there one who came up with the “No work, no eat” policy. The other settlers of Jamestown wouldn’t have been able to work, because none of them were willing to without the policy. John Smith was also the leader, so the settlers of Jamestown would have probably fought over who would be the new leader. They also would have fought with the Natives.

If John Smith never became friends with Pocahontas, Jamestown would never be the first permanent English colony. I think this because Pocahontas would never have told her dad not to kill John Smith and the other people at Jamestown if they were never friends. Also, Jamestown would fail and people would not want to make the journey to Plymouth. Last, Jamestown would fail because if the colonists won the fight with the natives they would not have the supplies to last a month. John Smith and Pocahontas were friends, but what if they didn’t have a relationship? When the Powhatan (an Indian tribe) first saw the English they were worried and wanted to attack. They captured John Smith and they were going to kill him. Pocahontas saved him. She stopped the attack on Jamestown by doing this and soon, Pocahontas started to visit the Englishmen to try to help them. If Pocahontas and John Smith had not become friends, the Jamestown colony would not have survived. The Powhatan would have killed everyone in the settlement. That could have happened if John Smith and Pocahontas had never become friends.

What would of happened to Jamestown if John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends? Here are three examples of what could of happened. First, the people of Jamestown could make the Powhatan tribe mad, and they, or the tribe could of been wiped out. Second, the tribe could not have helped them, and then the people of Jamestown would most likely be dead. Finally, if John Rolfe had heard about this he might not have wanted to come, therefore Jamestown would have no "Cash Crop". These are reasons why Pocahontas and John Smith's friendship was essential for the sake of Jamestown.

If John Smith didn't become friends with Pocahontas then Jamestown probably wouldn't exist. Powhatan had a plan to kill the Englishmen, for he knew that they were trouble. On the other hand, Pocahontas was fascinated by the Englishmen and wanted to learn more about them. When Powhatan captured John Smith and planned to kill him, Pocahontas stood up for him many times because she knew if her tribe killed John Smith all of Jamestown would fall apart. That would have probably happened if John Smith didn't become friends with Pocahontas. Their friendship affected the future of the English settlements.

If John Smith and Pocahontis had not become friends it would have affected Jamestown heavily. John Smith was wanted dead by the people of Powhatan so the Natives wanted to capture and kill him. When they were about to kill him, Pocahontas stepped in and convinced her Dad, who was Powhatan, to not kill him. Pocahontis saved John’s life because she had met him before this. Pocahontis was interested with the Englishmen so she wanted to learn more about them. If Pocahontis had not stepped in, John, who was the leader of Jamestown, would’ve died. Because of this the Natives and the settlers would have gotten into arguments and it might have gotten out of hand so settlers would probably have to leave. If they did leave, it would’ve not been the first successful English colony. In conclusion, if Pocahontis was not friends with John Smith, Jamestown would probably have failed.

If John Smith and Pocahontas had never met and became friends, then Jamestown would have never succeeded. For example, Pocahontas was the Chief (Powhatan) daughter, and as the daughter of the chief she was able to talk to her father and stop them from killing John Smith ( who was about to get killed many times), who was the leader of Jamestown at the time, he also made the, no work, no eat policy. If Pocahontas had never met John Smith and become friends with him, it would have impacted the success of Jamestown. This would have happened because Pocahontas saved John Smith and if she had not, he would have died. If John Smith would have died, Jamestown would have failed. One of his important impacts was the "no work no eat" rule. In another words, if you did not work a day, you did not eat that day. In addition, if they had never been friends, Pilgrims would not have come over because it would have been a failed colony. If they were not friends, then the peace between the natives and the English would not exist and they would die. Pocahontas' dad was the chief of a local tribe and she helped to stop him from attacking Jamestown.

In summary the relationship between John Smith and Pocahontas was important to the survival of Jamestown.

If John Smith and Pocahontas were never friends Jamestown would never have succeeded. The first reason why their friendship is important is that Pocahontas acted as a friendly connection between the Powhatan indians and the colonists. She helped with providing food for the new settlers especially during the 1609 drought. Another reason is that she helped negotiate with release of Powhatan prisoners so that there wouldn't be as much tension between the colonists and the Native Americans. Lastly, there are stories of how Pocahontas saved John Smith's life a couple of times. The first time is when he was kidnapped by Pocahontas' brother and they were going to kill him, but she protected him so they backed off. The second time was when her father had planned an attack on the colonists because of threats they were making. Pocahontas warned John Smith of the plans so he could be ready for the attacks. Without the relationship between Pocahontas and John Smith from helping with the survival of their colonists, keeping a peaceful relationship with the Native Americans and having courage to interact with the new immigrants, the survival of the Jamestown colony would not have been successful.

If Pocahontas and John Smith would have never become friends it would effect Jamestown by the Jamestown colony becoming the 2nd unsuccessful settlement because they they would not have had John Smith to push them to do their best but probably they would have gotten wiped out because when Pocahontas and John Smith were not friends they did not like the Jamestown colony people and that is what would have happened if John Smith and Pocahontas never became friends.
